She was a research scientist at CNR, Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies, Rome. She graduated with full honor in Philosophy at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome with a thesis entitled "The early cognitive and social development of two macaque infants (Macaca fuscata)". From 1986, She visited several Universities and Research Institutes within the context of collaborative projects, including the University of California at Berkeley and the Language Research Centre at Atlanta. She authored numerous publications in scientific journals and books.
She died in 2013.
Research interests
Her research was focused on comparative cognition in nonhuman primates with special reference to sensorimotor development, logical development and spatial cognition.
